from £55.00

The Ashy Faced Owl is native to the West Indies islands. These islands have a whole host of diverse wildlife, the area is designated an habitat of international importance and is currently suffering from extreme stress. These islands were once home to a giant super-owl, called Ornimegalonyx; a flightless owl found to be over a metre tall from fossils. The Ashy Barn Owl lives in subtropical or dry tropical shrub land, high altitude shrub land or heavily deforested forests. This species does not migrate and is residential to crevices in rocks or buildings. It’s breeding season is January to July where it will lay three to seven eggs.
